The Joy of Pilgrimage begins when you make the decision to do it!
The many details of each semi-private Quiet Heart Pilgrimage to India! are thoughtfully coordinated by Brenda with Guruji's pilgrims in mind. Each pilgrimage is tailored to try to accommodate as many of the devotees personal desires as possible, while considering the group as a whole.
As soon as your participation is confirmed and your deposit is received, your Quiet Heart Pilgrimage to India! has begun! You may find that just getting to that step has been characterized by one of two situations that Master and your karma has orchestrated. Either everything came together magically to enable you to go ... or the pull was so strong that not going was not an option!
(Either way, you can be sure that in the preparational efforts there will be some "sweeping the balcony" of your consciousness before entering the realm of blessings in the long-held dream of being there!)
The Quiet Heart Pilgrimage Preparation Period
The weeks and months before departure are a very important part of your Quiet Heart pilgrimage experience. There are many things in the Quiet Heart pilgrimage preparation period to help you physically, mentally, and spiritually prepare yourself for the journey, and to help you get the best from your time in India.
On the physical level, you will have 24/7 access to Brenda via email to get unlimited personalized help with your planning questions and concerns about the pilgrimage ~ including help with the best airline cost and itinerary, and guidance on passport and Indian Visa procurement.
In addition, many packing and other helpful preparation, cultural, and travel tips will be provided to you over the ensuing months to help make your pilgrimage come alive right away - and to help you make the most of your precious time in India!! Early commitments will allow for a richer preparational experience.
Here is what one devotee wrote: "I am very grateful how closely you follow up on every - little or big - detail. And for your comments on Guru's guidance and the - almost inevitable - transition before going to Guruji’s beloved India. It's good for me to be reminded of the greatness of it all..... I'm already so pleased for being signed up with you and your trip. "
Getting Ready For A Closer Walk
When you have stepped on the path of pilgrimage preparation, you have made an inner determination to deepen your spiritual life, to draw ever closer to the love for, and the love of, Guruji; to leave the day-to-day routines behind and just hold Guruji's hand and let your heart melt in His. That is the joyous, exciting part. Hang on to it!
But there is so much more to this preparation period. Like life and Kriya, there is much being worked out for our highest good without our awareness of the big picture as we do our best on our 25 percent! The preparation period usually holds challenges for the devotee, and can be likened to a cleansing; a working out of karma, or clearing of the karmic slate so that when you get to India you will be able to be flexible and take everything as coming from Guruji.
Life in India can be difficult for Westerners who are used to having a lot, and having it their way. In the preparation period you will no doubt get to practice those spiritual attributes that Guruji feels are necessary to prepare you for a closer walk with Him in India. And, you will have that closer walk if you remember to take it! Here, and there!
The preparation process is a wonderful time to practice entering the Quiet Heart; this is the time to start your pilgrimage now by practicing Guruji’s Presence in every pilgrimage related instance; to practice unruffled patience, perseverance, faith, and peace. And, to practice Sister Gyanamataji’s admonition to our beloved Ma: “See nothing, look at nothing but your goal, ever shining before you. The things that happen to us do not matter; what we become through them does. Each day, accept everything as coming to you from God. At night, give everything back into His hands.” (Knowing that you are ever and assuredly in His perfect care!)
Jai Guru! Jai Ma!
